Murgle
I watched Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (downloaded a videotaped-in-the-theatre version with added fansubs). Incredibly beautiful (and old-school Disneyesque - hand drawn!) animation, imagery, and music; adorable characters. Very weak plot-wise, but as the target audience seems to be very young children, I suppose that's not important. It just makes it less entertaining for us adults. Mononoke, Totoro, and Spirited Away are still my all-time faves which I could watch endlessly and never tire of.

Got some books about sewing for n00bs from the library. Working my way through those along with Yiddish Policemen's Union, which I'm about halfway done. I can't wait until my parents get back in town, 'cause my mom is really into quilting so I'm gonna use allll her sewing shit. And she'd love to go to the fabric store with me. (I've told you all before, but I totally go through obsessive phases (of varying, unpredictable length) with things. Welcome to my excited-about-sewing phase.)

The winter social season is upon us. Thank jehovah for that. Friday I'm probably going to hang out with Patrick, and Saturday there are, count 'em, two dubstep parties happening and I'm going to try attending both. My google calendar is filling up with some fun shit in December too. For instance, here's a spelling bee on December 4th at Rhizome, which I suppose I should show up to and kick some more ass (she says smugly, polishing her old trophy). And Mav is done exams in mid-December, so we'll actually get to, like, hang out and do stuff. :D

Till later, pussycats. Meow.

If you're looking for a bible for your obsessed with sewing phase, try the Reader's Digest Guide to Sewing (available mostly through Ebay, but there may be a current copy that could be purchased from a regular online bookstore). It has all the things you could ever need to know and practical instructions for them.

Oh, actually my roommate's friend recommended the same book the other day! I will definitely look for it. :)
