I got 2nd in the spelling bee. I'm okay with that, since I got four words wrong. You could get one wrong in the first round, and if you got two wrong, you could buy yourself back in for 20 bucks since it was a charity fundraiser. So after that I made it all the way to the sudden death round, and it got whittled down to just me and this guy Matt. If you got a word wrong, you weren't out unless the other person got their next word right. So I got one wrong in that but then Matt got his word wrong too, and then I got a second chance. My wrong words were:
hieroglyph (I guessed "heiroglyph"
amethyst (I was rushing it and not thinking, I did "amythest")
kinnikinnick (I had never heard of it. I did something like "canicinic")
strychnine (I thought there were two Cs, "strycchnine")
Yay spelling!
